After working from home the better part of a month, I've come to the realization that the desk chair we have has seen better days and its time to get a new, more comfortable one.

Anybody got a good recommendation?

I got one of these from Business Furniture Warehouse in Urbandale. They also have used stuff there. As a large individual, I went with a chair made for me. Since I've worked from home 100% for the last 10 years I didn't go cheap, but this was a good price for the chair. $525 for a mesh/platinum Steelcase Leap.

Any version of the Aeron chair (google search it) works great. You don't need the $500 version, and there are several in the $200 range now. But they are worth the money.

Same here! Just found out I'll be working from home for at least another month and a goodwill purchase from 5+ years ago is what I've been dealing with. Currently using a throw pillow for lumbar support and the fake leather has started peeling off which is a nice distraction during long conference calls but not very nice to look at otherwise.

I have that Hon Validate fat guy chair. I spent 14+ hours a day in it the last couple months and it was worth every penny.

Cheaper via Amazon but Amazon doesn't link.

I worked on the original HON BOT (Big Or Tall) back in the 90's. I don't do seating anymore, in a different division.
