***OFFICAL: I BOOKED MY TRIP THREAD***

Really?
I guess you dont know me. Just trying to help. Guess I wont do it again. Thanks jackoff.

He means it in a good way like "your my hero that's awesome that your doing that for everyone"

Exactly, it was a tremendous offer and one I really appreciate. And yes, you are my Hero for your spirit and generous offer! Please let Cyclone Nation know where you will be.

We have flight tickets to New york. Where is a good place to stay for not too much money and where other clone fans will be the night before the game? Where is tailgating? Finally what should we do while in New York?

Read this entire thread.

We are staying north of Yankee Stadium up near White Plains, but it sounds like most are staying in Manhattan (expensive) or in New Jersey (cheaper) or near LaGuardia Airport (moderate).

And stay tuned. TheCaptain posted last night about what sounds like an awesome tailgate.

I agree. Showing Rutgers how to tailgate Iowa State style also makes TheCaptain my "hero" (in the absolute best sense of the word).

And maybe we should try to coordinate some of our tailgating with the Rutgers guys who have been so helpful on our forum. They deserve some Iowa pork chops or something.

A look at scarlet nation showed a link to tickets that had suites and lounges as options. Why didn't we have that option? Also said they may bring 30k. Will there be beer for sale in the stadium?

Looks like the seats are behind home plate which would be the equivalent of an endzone seat....

They have quite a few more ticket options, with pretty good prices (field level available). Too bad we didn't get some of those options (Jim Beam Club, i'd be all in for that)

God I wish I had planned my vacations better :| Had to choose between this week and Thanksgiving for holiday vacation, and chose Thanksgiving. Otherwise I would be making the short drive up the road for the game....

Flying out of KC on the 28th into Reagan in Washington DC. Taking a bus (for $23) to NYC early morning on the 29th. Not sure on Hotel yet but will probably go where people on here are staying. Flying back on the 31st out of Laguardia into KC. We are flying into Reagan because that one way fare is only $120 with tax compared to at least $300 into Laguardia.

Just a precaution for everyone (and Rutgers fans can correct me). My mom was talking to her cousin who lives in NYC and he said the recent gang thing to do around Yankee Stadium is to go up to someone with a hat on, rip it off and run with it. Your instinct is to probably run after them, but don't. I'm pretty sure everyone is smart enough to know that, but just a little warning. Excited to go! Only 18 more days! (not counting today)

Just booked for three of us out of O'Hare on the 29th and into LaGuardia the 31st.

Now for hotel business....

Anybody flying into White Plains, NY? Or elsewhere to the north, such as Hartford, Albany, etc.?
