Offensive line coach and

Let's see if there is a pattern here...

Offensive coordinator - none on staff

Offensive line coach - graduate student who rolled into the position with no prior coaching experience

Special team coordinator - graduate student who rolled into the position with no prior coaching experience

Maybe a P5 team needs experienced coaching in these areas????

I'd add - 6 straight home victories.
Most conference wins ever.
Ranked.
Contended for conference championship until almost the end.
In-line for best bowl game in our history.

Man, we DO suck!

Man we handle success well. Maybe the best season in my lifetime (51 years) and all we can do is second guess our coach and trash his staff.

Without extraordinary individual effort by a handful of offensive skill players and a stout defense this team would be at 3-4 wins right now. I think fans concerned about the OL and no OC are right on the mark. Glad that we have been able to get these wins, but success will not continue if ISU keeps trotting out the worst OL in the league and a vanilla offense.

And again....in year #3. Cheered for the clones for over 50 years, and I'm loving where we're at, and where we're headed!

That's the part that kills me! This has been a journey and we'll never reach our destination. But the road travelled has provided more fantastic moments in the last 3 years then I can remember in my 40+ years of fan-dom.

Our future has never been brighter yet some can only see the flaws in the ever-improving product.

How many times did we dive #32 straight ahead for no gain this season? What really bothers me is the OL blocks for 15 nanoseconds at a time. Then they stand there watching David struggling on his own to make his own yardage. Every other team pushes the pile forward until the whistle blows to get maximum yardage. Not ISU.
Earl Campbell?

Yet we had those players and got 8 wins. Seems like it went OK.

So, what happens next year if the OL stinks and there is no DM or HB to make plays to hide the OL not being able to protect or run block?
Then it will be some other stud that will step up. That is how a program works. CMC has said it over and over that it is always about the players. Plays and formations are secondary. Butler, Rose, Eisworth, and Purdy are prime examples of players stepping up this season. There are many others too. No doubt we will be even better next year

He's just wrong. Football is all about the matchup's and X's and O's. Numbers and angles and such.
