They're reuniting and have dates in Dublin on August 16 & 17 next year. Anyone else considering heading over the weekend before our game and catching the reunion before they inevitably blow up again?

It would be awesome, but there's no goddamn way I could afford it.

I've been on a big Oasis kick since the news dropped. I can't wait for the quotes from each brother when this falls apart.

Second mortgage incoming!

What are the odds that they even last long enough to make it to the first date?

That said, seems like a pretty good reason to go a little early to me
As long as they dont try to record anything new, I think the tour happens. If Liam and Noel try to get in a studio together, all bets are off.

They can't let Blur have all the moneymaking fun, lol. Have always loved Oasis but reunion tours like these just seem a little sketch, and that's for bands that never actively wanted to kill each other. Will be interesting to see if this one makes it.

The fact they hate each other is what makes it fun.

I was on Ozzfest for 3 months back in the day with Lincoln Park, Disturbed, Slipknot, Hatebreed and Sabbath. The guys in Sabbath didn't talk to each other or see each other until they were on stage. Bill Ward was the best. He would actually walk around and talk to us. I didn't even know it was him because he was just this old Grandpa looking guy. I thought he was a Roadie at first. I was with the Slipknot guys, didn't even have a job with the band. Just friends with all of them. Best time of my life. Sharon Osborne told us that they do it for the fans and of course the money. The guys can't stand each other for the most part. Actually I think they all could just not stand Ozzy. haha. Never once got to talk to Ozzy. STayed in in his Bus the whole time and then would go stay in a trailer for the rest of the time.

Sorry I would not walk across the street to see them.

There is a reason there is not an Oasis "Greatest Hits".

I don't know about lately but for a while Noel Gallagher on his own was a pretty amazing live show. His songs all sound better with him as lead singer on all of them vs 1/3 of them. There were a few with him and Paul Weller where it was like "wow, this is the super group we actually need".

I will be shocked if this thing doesn't blow up. They're both egomaniacs but Liam has been certifiable from day one. It got them the American audience the other britpop bands couldn't find so I guess it served a purpose long ago.

A full on argument or fight mid-show would be pretty darn entertaining, albeit not worth the price of admission.

I'd guess at some point one of them walks off stage or something.

Long as they wait until the encore I'm good.

No reason to fly across the pond, heavy speculation they will be touring the States with Chicago being a for sure site.
Considering Liam hates America/Americans, and that they were never big in the states, I have a hard time believing they will tour the United States even if they don’t breakup again. They are still HUGE in Europe. They could do small tours after small tours over there, and sell out every show. Where as in the United States, they will have a much tougher time selling out and making the amount of money they would over there.

Did you miss the mid 90's?

I had the same thought about going a week early, but likely can't afford the trip in general unfortunately. I also had the same thought about them not even making it this far. But I think the only reason they are doing it to begin with is it will be a butt ton of money. So if they walk away, they will lose out on a butt ton of money.
