Went to in-laws church on Sunday morning. Priest goes up to light candles several minutes before mass starts. He had his little dog with him. The dog seriously did this right around the altar - twice.

Not the most reverent thing I have ever seen...

I always wear an extra pair of socks around this time of season. For starters, it's a bit chilly and standing on the concrete of JTS can be rough on uncushioned toes. However, an extra sock can come in handy in these types of situations as well.

Priest wasn't celebrating that mass - the other one was. He just came over and was setting up a few minutes before mass and he brought his dog with him. I thought that was a little questionable, but when the dog starting itching his ass by dragging it across the floor by the altar it went beyond questionable to me. The priest was oblivious to it.
