he needs bodies, nick can sit for a year and learn the system - work on adding strength and his game. then the following season when we have a big class come in, he has a kid that he probably knows will work hard and will be able to provide some minutes. might not be a star or even a starter, but someone that can play defense and hit some 3s off the bench.
Fred can only have 5 starters, he needs role players too.

Not really, we've had two transfers have to pay their own way for a semester before, I don't see Fred just handing out a scholarship to have an extra body unless they have high upside. From everything Fred has shown in his recruiting strategy this doesn't add up is all I'm saying. He's been focusing on proven transfers, high level recruits or upside (Greek)
