Nice Place In Coralville

I wish I had a water fountain and a basketball court.

The wife wants curtains and a new bed and we're getting those, you'd think I could get a court and a fountain.:wink0st:

Enough black and gold to make an entire town sick. Whats with the back yard must not have enough money to lay sod and grow some things.

One guess who owned it.

Ferentz??? He must be anticipating the inevitable outrage from Hawkeye fans after he fails to win the national championship next year. But I don't understand why he has a basketball court...was he good friends with Alford?

"Can little Stevie come over to play?"

He broke the first rule of selling a house - topo much clutter and too many pics on the wall. Too personalized except for the Linkliter man to buy. Wonder if he could dunk on his court like McD?

I'm not impressed with his sense of style. Maybe if the house were empty it would look like a better buy. :/

Gonna need an old priest and a young priest before anybody can move into that one.

They had a realtor on the news not long ago that said it wouldn't stay on the market long. Lickliter has already said he isn't buying it, so my question is how much demand is there for a $1.6 million house in Coralville, IA?

If money was no object, I would buy the house just to burn that hawkeye basement.

I think it would be tough to sell a house that is wasting so much space for a basketball court. Just think how much more could be done with that area. I'm thinking......indoor pool.

Unsure of the market there.... but it doesn't suprise me a realtor would say that. You have to create demand in the current state of the housing market. Supply and demand. See, I learnt myself somtin at skool.

There is so much money over here it's not even funny. Bowlsby's house sold for about the same amount of money within a week in Solon and I would expect this one to go soon.

I don't trust a man with a small deck. I figure if you make that kind of money, you should have a big deck.

Where was the salon chair? You know, the swively kind with the pump lever to change the height next to the sink with the headrest and the shelves full of "product". The hair is an even greater mystery to me now.

And what's the deal with the b-ball court? Not enough $ to extend it a few more feet to get a true full court?

Will be interesting to see who buys it. I don't know many people that would be proud to say they own Steve Alford's house or people that would be amazed by someone who owns it.

Yea, Laugh you guys..........Alfraud just bought a house 1/2 mile from me for 1.8 mil. This thread isn't funny.......he is in my neigborhood now! Go ahead and laugh.

Has having Alford as a resident driven down the property values yet? I guess things can't be all bad if you live in a neighborhood with $1.8 million dollar houses...

I can share your pain. Alford lived on my street in Coralville for about a year while his mansion was being built. Fortunately, our neighborhood only had to put up with it for a short period of time -- you're stuck until New Mexico fires him or "happens" to have someone hire him away. :laugh8kb:

It's like that Seinfeld episode where George's parents are moving to Florida to spite the Seinfelds.

Jerry: They're not going back to Florida. They're moving here.
George: What? Why?
Jerry: Because your parents are going down there. My buffer zone just went from twelve hundred miles down to two feet! You gotta do something.
George: Hey, I'm sorry, you had your buffer zone for many years. It's my turn to live, baby.

Sorry, lobo, it's Iowa's turn to live now!
