*New Uniform Thread*

They recently polled 100 D1 recruits about who had the best uniforms

the best were Oregon and Baylor. The worst were Alabama and Penn state.

kids wants the flash not the traditional it seems.

That's a great article. The part that caught my attention most was the recruiting class rankings of the top vs bottom teams. It shows that the recruits, on average, want the new flashier uniforms.

As someone that is much closer to retirement than high school now, I would just like to see the powers that be at Iowa State do something with the uniforms that catches the eyes and attention of the recruits. I'm still going to buy ISU apparel, I"m still going to go to as many ISU games as I can make. Get the apparel that will help get recruits, which in turn will help get some more wins.

Baylor is the style we should try to emulate. Oregon is a little radical, but Baylor has managed to combine plenty of flash with the classic look. We don't need a different uniform every game; just a few different options.

I want uniforms with some form of micro LED's built into them so they can change colors during the game. Just like the ribbon board. Could have tractors on them whenever they enter the "Case IH Red Zone"

I do wish that the athletic dept. would be a little more forthcoming in what they are planning to do in regard to uniforms.

Seeing this reminds me why I hated the white helmets when they were initially presented for vote way back when. They look fantastic with the all white. With the red and the yellow jerseys though, the white helmet (or the jerseys) just look terrible. Without any white on the yellow and red jersey, they just look completely out of place. Just throwing in a little white trim on the red and yellow would probably make it top notch. Without it though, the colored jerseys look terrible with white helmets. Like they aren't even part of the same uniform package.
Agreed.

Agree! Baylor and maybe Okie State also.

idk if already posted, but cyclone equipment (isu equipment managers) have been posting weird stuff on twitter. First a fed ex truck, then a giant pile of boxes from nike and they said something like what we've all been waiting for. When someone asked for a sneak peak of whats in the boxes or will they have to wait for kickoff, they said we will be getting sneak peaks all summer.

I take this to mean new uniforms are in the boxes. However, it could be new shoes or something as well. But given other tweets lately, sounds like new unis.

Campbell just said on Murph and Andy that they have additional tricks up their sleeves for uniforms..for this upcoming season.

SPECULATE

I would guess that just means mixing up combos we've never seen before with the current unis. Like red helmet, red jersey, white pants for example.
Ive done that look on NCAA 14. It looks like crap, but I can say red helmet, gold jersey, and white pants looks good. I also how to see some white helmet, red jersey, and white pants. On the road white/white/red would be cool too.

I like the white red whites, but excited to see if we are getting an even bigger change than anticipated.
