NCAA rules don't allow these contracts to regulate what the players where in non-sporting activities. The players have to wear Nike during official activities but they also agree to provide gear as needed. So when Georges wants new shoes the school calls Nike and they are sent over.

Even when they're playing on the road at Oklahoma when he breaks one of his, although they're more of their crimson color instead of our cardinal.

It doesn't work exactly like that. Nike provides 100 or so pairs of shoes. So isu either gets all 100 up front or as the year progresses... I don't really know.

What does Fran even wear that would be Nike? Not his dress shirt, sports coat, dress pants he always wears. Does he have a pair of Nike Bball shoes on? That wouldn't be a very classy look...

It was a joke based on something that actually happened. Niang (or was it Royce White?) wrecked one of his playing shoes while on the road at Oklahoma, and they had to borrow a pair from them. It was in Oklahoma's crimson and not ISU's cardinal, however.

I noticed while watching the huskers play, one player had what looked like teeth on his mouth peice (kind of like Tasmanian devil or Dracula). Made me think if we would be seeing more of this type of thing in the future of uniforms and player accessories.

I think it would be cool if we could get some sweet custom Nike Sleeves (i.e. tattooed arm sleeves), custom towels all the players use to keep their hands dry, or even their socks. All those things are cheap to make and could make the the base uni's pop.

Not sure if it is legal, but could be an interesting addition.

I can't remember who it was either, but it blows my mind that guys don't take 2-3 pairs of shoes with them on the road. I've seen their locker rooms before and they each have piles of shoes.

Looking at the history of Campbells Toledo team uniforms. Looks like they had 4 helmet colors, Blue, White, Yellow, Grey, A multitude of emblems on the helmet (2 diff UT Logos, Glass City, Player Numbers, Cancer Ribbon, American Flag Rocket, Rocket, Rocket with Toledo across it, Blue, yellow, white, Grey jerseys, with special blue/pink jerseys and black jerseys.

I would imagine we have Grey, Gold, Red, White jerseys with matching helmets for each color and we have I State logo, the new cy head logo, and possibly new walking cy. Hopefully, they throw in cyclones ****** and tornado, and I would give my left nut for cy leaning on the I from 1983.

If he did it at Toldeo, he will do it here, so I consider this case closed.

Please god no, not the new walking Cy. That belongs in a coloring book.

seems like uniform threads always come down to using old designs. Why not come up with something new? Recruits don't give a **** about ISU throwbacks. (Minus the Jack Trice Unis)

The QC
Design by committee doesn't work. A lot of the ideas are great, but I would leave it up to CMC, with final approval by JP/Leath

If we ever go back to yellow helmets, then someone doesn't have a clue about what looks good.

It's that simple.

These are really sharp. Wouldn't have to be the "Cyclones" ****** logo either.
I think we could even do what Indiana does with their helmets and have multiply logos we can swap out.
1) I state logo
2) just their number on the helmet like the Jack trice throwbacks
3) scripted cyclones
4) old twister logo
5) ISU logo like when we voted on the new helmets.
i think that would be cool, and offers some customization.

Yellow helmet looks better, especially with the stripes down the center. Our cardinal helmet looks exactly like USC and OU. If we had two gold stripes down the center, I'd like the cardinal helmets better.

Also, you think LSU's yellow helmet looks terrible? It's sweet.

I would like us to go back to yellow, since ISU has traditionally featured the yellow helmets. Just go with the I-State logo/stripes down the center on it as well.

If we are going to continue to use yellow instead of gold in the uniforms, I really don't care what they come up with. Iowa State colors are cardinal and gold not yellow. Does anyone know if the gold(yellow) now being used is decided by Iowa State or dictated by Nike?
