The Cardinal in our colors isn't bad..it's the Gold that is terrible...or McDonald's yellow I should say. A true Notre Dame gold looks good with Cardinal red not yellow...that would solve a lot of our uniform problems. Our I State logo isn't changing...ever. That's the logo and brand moving forward and it ain't changing. Black Unis and helmets with real gold and Cardinal trim would look incredible IMO. And the logo would really pop. Also..it is beyond ridiculous that we don't use white helmets with all white Unis for road games. Looks so much better.

Add some color to the stripes on the shoulder so those pop out otherwise they will go unnoticed.

Side Note: The Uni-Watch guy, who writes for ESPN and always has uniform update news, hates the Nike collar that is on this jersey.

Yeah we should go back to Cardinal and Navy blue

For the love of God can we please lose our current shoulder stripes? Lose those, do a little something different there and then add a stripe to the helmet. That could go a long way towards not looking like USC.

Something like the SF 49ers would look amazing.

Those black unis posted a page back...the university has specifically written rules that black is not to be used with our logo which from what I understand from a friend who makes apparel, they take pretty seriously. I would highly doubt with that rule, they would give us black unis....However, with that being said, I have seen black sweatshirts and t shirts which makes me wonder how they got it approved.

I'd like to see "I WILL" on the little strip above the mask. (To replace the current All In that's on there.)

I think it is funny people keep saying this, but i have seen plenty of black ISU gear. Let alone the current football coach is using a black background for his Istate logo as his twitter avatar.

from my experience, the main qualm they have is stand-alone gold elements on black or dark grey apparel. like when using a vintage logo, the tiny vintage stamp mark that goes in the corner cant even be gold because they want zero opportunity for an association with the university of iowa to be drawn and will specifically tell you 'black and gold is the color of our rival school, change to cardinal' or whatever.

A black background or a black t-shirt is a lot different than black uniforms. That's something that likely will (and probably should) not happen.

I really like the gray options though. That's fun.
