That was typical of they type of detailed logo fonts in the day. The reason it looks like horror movie stuff is because horror movies like to use houses and furniture/decor from that same period.

No it sucks. It's awful. I choke down my 48 ounces in a day for the sweet, sweet reward of a Mountain Dew Zero or Pepsi Zero at the end.

To me that 87-97 logo is the one that's "original" in my mind. Even though I was born in early 70s, I don't remember the logo with the bottle cap really. I would have said the rectangle logo was from like 1950-2000 probably...
