New Iowa State Apparel

Has anyone seen ISU big and tall gear locally?

Rally House has a few things online and Fanatics looks like it's been cut down to only Cutter and Buck. It has always been pretty scarce but could usually find some decent Nike or UA T's and polos. I can't find decent T's anywhere.
Yeah I would love more Large Tall stuff myself too.

I’m either 3X, 3XT or 2XT depending on the manufacturer. It seems like when you get into 3X territory, companies either make it bigger or longer, nothing in the middle.

At 6’6” 300, clothes are an issue especially looking for specific items. The best fitting shirts I own are the 10 dollar plain ones from Kohl’s. I wish I could rep ISU from time to time.

In the day, there were Cy patches that could be sewn onto anything. Whatever happened to those?

All I see on the Bookstore page is...this. Also available in black and white. Oh yeah.

Did find a lapel pin, though.

Yes, but does the mark-up money go to ISU? Is it "official"?

I'm either a 2XL or XLT depending on the store. I've had the best luck at Rally House, which isn't saying much. Every once in a while, Scheels, but they're really proud of their stuff.

These should be on an upcoming clearance sale. Too soon?
I still have a white ISU Gymnastics sweatshirt from the mid meet contest they used to do during gymnastics meets in the mid '90s. They challenged participants to walk on the floor exercise mat on their hands. You got another prize for each seam you were able to walk to across the mat.

I was working one gymnastics meet at Hilton and after we had cleaned all up late that night I asked our new coach, Coach Pyle, when she was going to draw my name for the contest. I was just joking - I was working I never entered. She said she would make sure I got in but only if I was going to win all of the prizes. So I said, "watch" and walked on my hands from the baseline of the basketball court 90 feet almost to the other baseline. She said, "okay, be ready at the next meet." I didn't expect that they would actually draw my name. But the next home meet I again didn't enter my name but heard it called when they announced who would be participating. So there I was, a 6' twenty something tech crew guy with a couple of tiny pre-teen girls. When my turn came up, I walked on my hands clear across the floor exercise mat to sweep the prizes.

My gymnastics moment of glory.
