Final RPI and CR were not included with the original allocation release, but I assume they'll be coming out at some point.

Southern and Pac 12 need to join. 23 total allocations and I bet over half are guaranteed because of the champion gets a freebie

My biggest concerns for automatic qualifiers is Jacob Frost and Euton.
5 at 149 and 4 at 165. Neither guys have looked good recently.

(Coaches, RPI, Win %age)
Poulin got Silver (11,11, 64%)
Evan got Silver (5, NA, 90%)
Ech got Gold (3, 6, 89%)
Jacob got Gold (9, 21, 75%)
Vinny got Gold (7, 6, 87%)
Euton got Silver (13, 22, 68%)
MJ probably got Silver (12, 14, 69%) Just missing 70%
Dean got Gold (12 ,10, 74%)
Elam got Silver (2, NA, 100%)
Yonger got Gold (1, 4, 100%)

These are based off Wrestlestat
In Bold is what they missed. Using an allocation line of 26-27 for RPI and Coaches and 70% win

Former Cyclones
125 - Kysen Terukina (North Carolina) - Gold allocation (18, 13, 73%)
133 - Zach Redding (NC State) - Silver allocation (21,23, 56%)
149 - Casey Swiderski (Ok State) - Silver Allocation (7, 8, 67%)
285 - Christain Carroll (Wyoming) - Gold Allocation (7,7, 79%)
285 - Nate Schon (Drexel) - Gold Allocation (22, 19, 76%)

125 - Petersen
133 - Drake
149 - Block
165 - Caliendo
174 - Kennedy
285 - Keuter

141 - Is Bailey still wrestling? last on 1/30 against Minnesota
157 - VV, no Williams
184 - Ferrari, last wrestled 1/16. Not sure he is eligible for an allocation
197 - Arnold??? - no one will earn an allocation at 197 for Iowa

Even though Jacob hasn’t looked great, he should still absolutely place top 5 at 149. It’s just not a great weight.

Euton however, wasn’t competitive with Ruiz or Lockett last go round. Should be competitive with Downey and Mayfield but I could definitely see him not placing top 4.

Justin Basch saying Petersen did not earn an allocation at 125 - so 5

Brands does some crazy things when it comes to allocations. The Teske deal a few years ago was a head scratcher also

I ask this every year I know. Explain to me like I’m an idiot what the difference between a gold and silver one is

Gold is meeting Coaches Ranking, RPI & Win #age(~70%)

Silver is meeting 2 of 3

Need to have at least silver to earn an allocation

Whether it is a silver or gold allocation has no affect on seeding

So it doesn't seem to effect anything at all other than calling it gold or silver? Or if you earned a gold one and you dont earn a spot does it make you automatically preferred for an at large?

Only gives the conference a spot in the NCAA tournament. The wrestler still has to place among the amount of allocations that were earned.

If you don’t place high enough to get one of the allocations, you do have a higher chance to get one of the at large berths
