NCAA tournament - DesMoines

Looks like the mid level is now splitting the tickets up too. If you ask for 4, mine showed up as 2,1,1. Logged out, tried again, and it was 3,1.

How can you tell if they are all together or split? A friend sent me their e-mail they got from NCAA and I created an account and it appears I can purchase with no problem while getting to the payment page. But I don't see anything regarding tickets together or splitting.

Was anybody able to get in who created an account after 10:00 this morning? My old account wouldn't let me access and I can't reset the password. I created a new one but am getting a message that "this offer is currently restricted".

Kansas will be in Des Moines. Even if Tulsa is a few miles closer it is a shorter drive to Des Moines. Especially if they think about the KU fans coming from KC.

Also could end up with a Big Ten team, especially OSU, and that should also do well for ticket resell demand.

I'm assuming the way they were breaking up the tickets in the cart.

we went a few years ago and didn't enjoy ourselves. the venue is meh. im sure it'd be a lot more fun if the cyclones were playing.

Wells Fargo does not compare to Century Link in Omaha or Sprint Center in KC. I haven't been to any other Midwest arenas. But as a DSM resident, it seems that they went cheap when building Wells Fargo. Biggest complaint is extremely small concourses. I'm pretty sure it also seats quite a bit less than those other two.

I tried joining today as well - only got a email essentially saying "thanks for joining"
From previous poster we had to be a member of the Cyber club for a couple of weeks at least to get the offer.

Anyone know when the tickets go on sale for us uncool people?

Eh, not life or death if I don't get tickets - can just buy them on the aftermarket if the price is OK later if I want I guess.

When it was here a couple years ago the first day just happened to be on St Paddy's day and I went downtown around 9am and took in the atmosphere before finding a prime seat at one of the Court Ave. bars to watch ISU and the other games that day. Sat next to an Indiana fan that was buying some time before his team played later and he was impressed with how much Des Moines had grown since he last been here over 10 years ago. I probably had more fun on Court Ave that day than I would have paying a high price for a single ticket to go into the games.

Based on some of the posts here (and probably on Hawkeye boards as well), us uncool folks are probably going to be left buying from scalpers, including our own fan base.

Assumed that was probably going to be the case.

We lucked out last year and got all session passes for face value from a Wisconsin fan that wasn't happy they didn't make Milwaukee.

Ya they built WF for DSM and they built those other two arenas for much larger metro areas. It’s not that they went cheap they just built for need.

If it comes down to it, feel free to DM when it gets closer the tournament and I can probably sell you a couple of mine for face value.

Actually they cheaped out at the end. There was supposed to be other seats or more amenities but if they scaled it back a little then approval was easier. I think the Polk County supervisors forced that issue pretty hard when it came to green lighting it.
Now, going forward, they are going to have to continue to upgrade it.

I was somewhat skeptical on building it. I was wrong, and its been very successful. From the interviews I hear on the radio, Chris Connely must be a big reason why. I hope they pay him well.
