NCAA Predictions

Seems Paniro’s lead leg is susceptible early and late in matches. He has been rock solid, defensively, in the middle. His own shots lately have been incredibly explosive, and he’s so strong it seems almost impossible to fight him off once he gets in.

Yianni’s flexibility and funk are equalizers.
Yes, no one was saying Paniro is the favorite by any means. But he's got a shot and will give anyone all they can handle.

I don't know anything but we need a physically and mentally healthy Bastida. We also need at least 2 wins each from Redding, Swiderski, and Kraisser. If we get that it's the difference between 8-10 and top 5. There always a lot of hay to be made on the backside.

How long off of the scale to Redding and Casey get before their first round matches?

I’m letting myself get talked into Yonger meeting Nino, Dean or Allred in the semi’s. I need to stop that.

Looking through my cyclone glasses, I got hungry hungry Happel beating Matthews then losing to Bartlett in quarters. Casey beating Schwartz, losing to Hart, then beating Mattin, Demilio, Happel in bloodround, and Cornella before losing to woods in consi semis, and Bartlett in 5th place match

Who do you have knocking Woods off?

Some significant swing points hinge on a mentally and physically healthy Bastida. From the sounds of that Paniro/Carr article, Bastida needs to get into that joint, and Swiderski too.

If Kraisser can get past Scott in the first round and then drops to the backside after Lewan, I like his chances to go fairly deep.

Made my way through the brackets this morning. Below are my picks.

ISU
Redding - 3-2 losing to Fix in the front and the blood round to Ragusin
Swiderski - 3-2 losing to Hart in the front and then in the blood round to Bartlett
Paniro - 5th. Loses to Yianni in semis and Yayha in the Consi semis. Then beats Van Ness for 5th.
Kraisser - 1-2. Loses first match to Scott. Wins one on the back and then knocked out by Gfeller.
Carr - champ over otoole
Coleman - 5th. Loses to Keck in semis and then Romero I’m Consi semis. Beats Finesilver for 5th
Bastida - 1-2. Wins first round then loses to Laird and Coffey in the back.
Schuyler - 7th. Loses to Parris in quarters. Beats Harvard in blood round but then loses to Schultz. Beats Elam for 7th.

Team is 8th with 56. I have PSU winning going away followed by Nebraska at 2 and then Iowa and Missouri in 4th with 66. We’d really need Yonger to AA and also the other 4 to have a chance at a trophy. Top 10 seems very likely.
Sign me up! I'd take this tourney in a heartbeat. I'd predict that this type of individual performance would also put us in a top 5 team placement.

Wish we knew what exactly was going on with Yonger. Everyone reported at big 12s he was getting medical treatment and toughing it out for the team, then Dresser comes out and says it's mental. Rather confusing. Definitely seems to have lost some confidence, after he chose down and escaped from Dean earlier this year I thought bottom issues were pretty much over but hes definitely regressed there lately
