How good will the Cyclones be in 08 on the game.

All I know is Bret Meyer and Blythe better be unstoppable.

Defense could be shaky.

Thoughts ?

It doesn't matter. I'll just use the player editing features to bump up all their ratings to 99 and dominate the competition like I always do. :rolleyes5cz: (Whoops, did I just admit to that?) :baffled5wh:

If I were to guess right now, I'd say Blythe moved up in the ratings but I'd say that Meyer will stay the same or even move down a little. Didnt have the best of seasons. I believe it happened to Drew Tate from his Junior to Senior year.

Hopefully we get stuck with jason Scales as our RB, no offense to him. But he wont be reated very high in that game. Im gonna have to throw a lot more than i already do, 2/3 of the time. Does anyone else like to plat online. Thats about the only way i play games anymore. Its a lot more challenging. Winning 8 str8 National titles, going undefeated, and winning the Heisman just isnt as fun as it used to be.

I play online in a couple of leagues...The challenge of playing online against good players and not the cheesy lobby players, is so much harder than playing against the computer....I do enjoy it though...

I'm playing on the ps2 now, but looking at buying a Xbox 360 Elite for when NCAA 08 comes out...

highly recommend the Xbox 360 Elite (or Premium if you can't find the Elite). NCAA 07 looked absolutely incredible on it, so I can't imagine how good 08 will look now that EA has had ample time to put additional coding into it.

I've played it on a 360 premium a couple of times and am Just amazed at how awesome it is each time....

I'd love to stick with the Sony Brand, but there is no way I could afford $700 for a new gaming system, so I'll stick with either the $400 or $500 Xbox, whichever I can find....

Meyer and Bowen will probably be in the high 80s overall rating-wise. The secondary will probably be a disaster, like 60's and low 70s for ratings. EA is always kind with offensive line ratings so we won't get screwed too hard there.

I'd say they will be a B- overall, but still a dangerous offense with a tall, impact WR and a senior QB with way too high of speed rating and a full composure bar.

i cant make the switch from playsation to xbox.. i just cant do it.. i will buy my ps3 when i get back from ait..
now about the game..
i think blythe and meyer will have some ok ratings.. and rj should be a 96 or higher i speed..
alvin bowen should be sweet on the game..
but like som1 already said.. i get bored enough that i put all the names in and up the ratings so i really dont care what the ratings are right now anyway..

I'd have to say Blythe will be near a 91 again. He did not improve or disprove last season.

Meyer will be a 87-91 I'd have to estimate.

If Bowen isn't a mid 80 I'll be disappointed.

Hopefully EA took the time to check out JUCO transfers for us as well.

The ISU team on the video game will be just like real life. The O-line will not be that impressive, solid WR's, Scales will probably be the starting RB on the video game and i'd be suprised if he's above a 72 rating, Meyer will be solid and be able to scramble. The defense will be extremely weak except for LB's. Your best bet to win games early is to spread out the offense with 4 WR's and just pick teams apart and scramble. Most of the games will have to be won by a shoot out because it'll be tough to stop anybody with that defense until your able to recruit some stud.

I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL JULY 17!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't hold your breath on that. Regardless of them being seniors and very good players - they weren't exactly unstoppable last season.

I am not sure what game you are playing, but I dominate people online with Meyer and Blythe. Then when they double up on Todd, I playaction and send a bomb to RJ streaking down the sideline :)

I might wait until later this year to get 2008. In my view, the NCAA series has gone downhill after an excellent 2004 version. Too many bells and whistles being added in lieu of improved AI. I like to feel that when I make a mistake in game, it's because I called the wrong play, threw it to the wrong guy; not because the computer sends a guy up 6 feet into the air to pick off a pass. It's not realistic at all, and it's sad how arcadey the game feels.

Also, although this is minor, I hope they took that tackling animation out of the game where the defender jumps into the air and slams into the ball carrier's head with their stomach/crotch. Who tackles like that??

I have played XBOX 360 and PS3 many times, and its a tough pick. If you like to play war games/shooting games, XBOX is the way to go, but i think sports games are better on the PS3, because it seems like the gameplay is faster (which i like better). The 360 does have a better online gaming system though, its very tough to connect to your other player on the PS3, especially on EA sports because they go by a server. But on the 360 the connection with EA is alot quicker, and most of the times you will connect with your opponent.

Well I think it is only $80 more, so it's probably worth it...only problem is trying to find one in stock somewhere....

Costco, Circuit City, and Amazon have them available online.

The Elite is only about $100 cheaper than the loaded PS3. If you don't care about BluRay, wireless internet, ability to play PS2 games, etc than the 360 is the way to go. There are a lot more games available for the 360. It's really a tough call between the 2. When I bought the PS3 HDMI wasn't an option on the 360 so I didn't have a choice. If I had to do it over again I would probably choose the PS3 again but it really comes down to personal preference.
