NCAA BASKETBALL CORRUPTION SCHEME

Not completely done at Louisville yet...I'd expect the fight between Louisville lawyers and the coaches lawyers to be a battle to the death. His buyout right now is $41 million...but who knows what is written into the contract. The splatter from that battle will be massive.
Wrong. Pitino contract has ZERO buyout. He is fighting the "just cause" firing, trying to get everything remaining in the contract, saying that there isnt just cause for him to be fired.

I have a feeling why ESPN doesn't seem to thrilled with this development is their affiliation with these apparel companies. Nike sponsors The Opening and all those football camps. Who knows if there is anything shady there as well? I have read that is a big concern of football coaches is that these satellite camps sponsored by Nike etc will lead to college basketball style recruiting.

In addition, the air AAU tournament games from EYBL and Adidas Nations.

Remember the improved SEC performance in basketball last year and all this blabbering about their brand of basketball being tough defense, yadda yadda yadda? $$$$$

You're not buying that they suddenly discovered a drive to compete?
Didn't Kentucky cause everyone to raise their game? Well, maybe that last one $ort of happened.

The thing is about all of this is that you will NEVER EVER be able to stop the money especially when someone wants to give it away.

So basically this scandal won't change much until college athletics is overhauled. This system is trying to run like it did when you only saw college basketball(outside of the Blue Bloods) on TV was during March madness

Pitino already got fired..... Again, this isn't an NCAA investigation, I don't know why people keep saying "The NCAA wont do anything to the blue bloods". This is the FBI. Thy don't give a **** who yo are.

Agreed, and you can already see the talking heads (Jeff Goodman is one) already spouting off about replacements for Pitino like it's a run of the mill hire. They just don't get it, this isn't the NCAA, this is the Feds.

If Iowa State comes out unscathed from all of this it could really be a boost to our program.

should be fine...I found a photo of our 2017-18 shoes...contract probably won't be investigated.
