NBA: *** NBA Playoffs Thread V2.0 ***

Serious question here - Since it looks like the mods are unwilling to help us all out by banning clones21 for tomorrow night's game, is there any way I can customize my account settings to simply block out anything clones21 posts? If all we're getting is two dozen posts featuring variations of "this game is over" then I'd just as soon not have to sort through them.

History will be made tomorrow. Coach James becomes the first player-coach to win back-to-back or poppovich will win his 5th title. Should be a fun one.

Your trolling is getting more and more disappointing. Not to mention you're actually wrong, unsurprisingly, as Bill Russell won back to back titles as player-coach in '68 and '69.

Cyjack, sit back and watch king James make history tomorrow. Will be the GOAT player coach after tomorrow.

Doesnt count as 68-69 basketball wasn't as good according to people's logic.

Time for king James to make history, sit down and enjoy the show.

I really think people are underestimating Lebron's fourth quarter. Not from a standpoint of his scoring though. He made a couple huge mistakes and he knows that but he also made some huge plays as well. The part of his game that is being overlooked by most is his defense on Parker. Parker couldn't hardly do anything when Lebron was guarding him.

If you're talking about a choke job from anybody, it's Tony Parker. He's not had a great series aside from a couple decent games.

Something I don't get is why people complain about rooting for a player. How many people liked the Bulls because of Michael Jordan? I almost guarantee it was the same if not a higher number of people for MJ but people seem to think that's okay because it's different when really it's not.

I don't care if everyone on the planet but me was a huge LeBron James fan, the annoying thing is when closet Heat fans don't think it's ok for others to dislike him because he's an entitled arrogant dbag and a huge crybaby flopper. Like him all you want, buy his jersey, dress up in Heat gear suddenly like Justin Bieber, knock yourself out, have a blast with it. Like him, don't like him...who cares.

Agreed I don't see any reason people to complain either that people bandwagon or hate against him. I just personally don't like the hypocrites about it all.

On a side note don't associate Justin Beiber with the Heat. He has also done the exact same thing to the Lakers, Raptors, and Magic!

I doubt it. More likely, they'd be discussing how lucky he was to survive a silly coaching blunder, given how that same strategy failed a play or two earlier...

So you think it's wise not to ramp up your defense on a guy who's shooting .420 from 3-point land, hope he misses, and hope that Tim Duncan will suck down what would likely be a very long rebound? Bull. Miami had to shoot the 3. Everyone knew they were going to. Every coach with half a brain cell would have subbed in their best defenders rather than putting the emphasis on rebounding.

Either way, Pop had to take a risk, and he just played the smart odds and went with the safest route. It didn't work, but it wasn't the wrong decision.

His defense on Parker was unbelievable. It was reminiscent of him destroying D-Rose in the ECF two years ago. He completely wore Parker down. He does so much on both ends of the court and played 50 mins last night, it's just a massive work load for one guy to carry.

and to think he also coaches the team! What a stud.

VERY 'democratic' advice. If you can't shout a person down, block him/her. This is an open forum. If you don't like the posters, go somewhere else. Or, be an adult and deal with a variety of ideas, styles, and personalities.
