NBA: *** NBA Playoffs Thread V2.0 ***

Nah the Cavs already have a promising guard in Dion Waiters. The Cavs need a basket-protecting big man to compliment the rebounding of Varejao, and Noel fits that to a tee.
?
You can find that in the second round or free agency. Waiters? The guys who didn't start in college? Give me Burke over him.

Comeback makes this series interesting. We'll see how Pop adjusts to the strategy the Griz used for that late run. Could be a good next couple games.

Heat and Pacers tomorrow. What do you guys think?

The matchups will be interesting since the Heat like to switch up their lineups, while the Pacers only really have one choice when it comes to a lineup. But I think the Pacers can pull it off if they can steal 1 on the road.

Hibbert's play will be a huge factor. Cheering for the Pacers but thinking the Heat in 6.

He's the real question mark. The Pacers have a similar issue the Bulls had: they can't get in foul trouble. If any one of the starting five gets in foul trouble the Pacers are in trouble. How the officials call the game will be a key factor. The more they let the players get away with, the better it is for the Pacers.

Its tough when James and Wade both get a whistle to help out the officials

If there's a big discrepancy in fouls favoring the Heat early in this series, expect Vogel to take the officiating to task in the media. He'll gladly pay the fine just like last year when he called the Heat a bunch of floppers if it means a chance to make the refs swallow their whistles and letting this series become a slugfest. I'm pulling for the Pacers, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if they can even push the Heat to a six game series. Miami is just too good right now (44-6 over their last 50 games!), and barring injury they're probably going to win another championship this year.

Good game so far. As I type that Battier knees Hibbert below the belt.
