They are dropping like a rock. Down 4 to Illinois (who we beat by 16) with a minute to go. Nothing will change, though. Fully expect them to be in the top 10 next week.

Game over. 79-74 Illinois. MSU on a 3-game losing streak.
No but they will move up 2 spots in the AP top 25 and Illinois will be ranked 17th.
Been thinking. MSU and Marquette losing helps us gain ground on getting a Des Moines cede in the tourney.
I had wanted to watch this game but then saw Dakich was doing color. So then I went over to the Duke game but then saw Dickie V was doing commentary. I then watched reruns of The Office.
WTH is wrong with MSU? I mean IL is horrible on so many levels. How can you beat Iowa by 30 and lose to IL?

Well obviously Fran showed teams how to game plan to beat Izzo (in their first half). ;-)
I would like to blame Langford new that he'd be out the regular season, but they won 7 games prior with him out before the announcement. Weird, Izzo will right the ship but as another poster noted 3 consecutive losses to unranked teams has likely cost them any chance of a 1 seed and they are possibly staring a 3-4 seed now with another couple of losses.
Big benefit for ISU chances to move up on the S-Curve and helps the Clones case to get a Des Moines first round location.
