Little early to use that as a knock against a blue chip recruit who did really well on the national circuit the last year and hadn't lost a match yet all season, DeSanto is good. That was a solid win for Parker.
Desanto was a lower quality recruit than Colbray was and look how he’s doing. Not trying to knock anyone, but at this point we have no idea how good of a win that was.

His win over Simmons was a better win. I think Parker is good and will be one of the best guys on the team this year. All I’m saying is an unarguable fact that we don’t know how good Desanto is. Is Desanto an AA contender? A top 20 guy? An unranked NCAA qualifier? No one knows yet, so it is hard to judge how good of a win that was for Parker.

Anybody with decent eyesight and a little bit of wrestling knowledge could see that Desanto is a damn good wrestler and that was a good win for Parker. Will Desanto AA this year? Wouldn't bet the house but he is dangerous and I won't be surprised if he does.

In the post match press conf. with Parker and Pestano, it was mentioned that maybe 141 was Parkers more natural weight, but he was disciplined in making 133. Is it likely that you have 133 Gomez - 141 Parker - 149 Storr next season?

We need some hammer recruits/transfers at 125 in the worse way
It'd be awesome if Dresser could land Cashman. If not, I wonder if there is any talent in the Juco ranks. ICCC had a national champion at 125 last year who was a freshman. Maybe he could come into the program as a redshirt soph.

It was a really good win. DeSanto is a very aggressive wrestler. He pushes pace. I do think some of it is that he’s true freshman, in that he may not be conditioned enough yet to bring that level of pace for a whole match. As buf mentioned, Parker broke him, which to me is what made his match impressive. We’ve all been waiting for guys to do exactly what Parker did, and that’s bring his own pace, dominate on top and be tough on the bottom. He had 1:59 of RT, which is a great thing to see.
