Excited for him to stay on a competitive team with good coach and other great players.

Nuggets have become my team for a few years, so bored on my pre-covid commute and could not stick with Bulls radio for another winter after the past few years.

With the contracts I've seen lately it seems like a win win situation for Monte and the Nuggets. Good deal for them, as crazy as it sounds for $27 million to be a good value.

So happy for Big Game! Going to add this to the thread on Cyclones in the Pros.

Thanks for posting. He's worked so hard and has proved his worth.

Good for him! I’ll never understand why he was a late round draft pick. But one thing monte has always done is take someone doubting him and double down and come out on top.

Haha, missed this thread. I was too excited and went to the other one! Great for him. Also seems like it is a good bet on himself to turn it into another big payout down the road.

It’s about time, he was so underpaid by the Nugs

Knew this was coming but I honestly thought he would have signed a big contract with another team. Good on the Nugz for realizing what he brings to the table.

There aren't a ton of bench guys who typically close out really close games in playoff series.

Not that the rest of his game isn't valuable, but just having him in there when they are up 3-4 late and the other team is fouling. He's going to protect the ball like no other, if he inbounds he's going to throw the perfect pass, and he has been REALLY good at late game FTs.

I’m a big fan of that team too. I’m glad I can cheer for them another 3 years.

I wasn't impressed at all with Bol Bol in college, but maybe he has an outside chance at being a new contributor for the Nuggets, think you just see back of Monte's jersey in this practice footage.

Extremely happy for him! $9mil a year was a good offer from Denver, where he clearly wants to be. Their boards think he may have gotten offered $10-$12 had he hit the open market.
