Minecraft anyone?

Anyone play or atleast heard of Minecraft?

I haven't played it a whole lot but seems pretty entertaining. Its an open world sandbox game. I have only played single player and just ran around and built little stuff.

From the site: Minecraft is a game about placing blocks while running from skeletons. Or something like that.. The game is a lot like that, but also has enemies and cave exploring and mining and farming and flowing water and dynamic lighting and a huge (huge) randomly generated world map.

I was unimpressed. I see and understand the novelty of it, but it just didn't sink in well with me.

A couple of buddies have tried to get to me to check this game out but I haven't yet. Usually this type of game is right up my alley, I may have to see what its all about.

I dabbled in it a little bit, another offtopic board I am a member of has lots of members obsessed with the game. Search youtube vid of the european guy who accidentally burnt his house down, its pretty funny.

I played when it was free, now that you have to pay for it, no thanks.

the older version is still free. Thats what I am playing right now.
