Milan Momcilovic withdraws from the 2026 NBA Draft

How do we know that Milan won’t feel the same way about Iowa State in the future? He did spend three years here and has a great relationship with TJ
If a girl leaves you for the rich guy, she's not coming back to visit you in a couple years or donating some of their wealth. She's done with you. Just like Milan is.

The crappy thing is is that it’s all about money. Milan knew all along that he was a 2nd round pick. He was never a 1st round pick throughout the year. Tj and him had a convo at the year end and Milan’s agent knew what he was worth. If we gave Milan 6 mil our team would be **** next year. Tj basically said good riddance. If people actually think Milan wants to be a cyclone are crazy. It’s money you guys lol. That’s all it is. I hope he goes to these teams with 5 the star talent already (like Kentucky, Louisville) and I bet he’ll realize how fun it was in Ames. Those teams have TALENT. You think the the other 5 stars on those teams don’t want to show out? Get the popcorn.
Gotta disagree. We have TALENT in Ames, and they seem to keep signing up to play here.

Pretty sure 90% of the posters on here are well aware that it’s about money now.

5% think college sports will somehow, someway return to what it was like 40 years ago. These same folks think there’s a chance MM will return to Ames.

The other 5% are drunk and/or high.

Same with 50, 60, etc.

I'm a cross-over on gamedays. ;-)

I love how some of you seem to know what Milan is going to think in the future.
Never said I did. But if was simply about Iowa State vs. Kentucky, he would be back in Ames right now. But he's not, because he cares more about the money. (I'm not faulting him for it). And if the money means more than the actual people, culture, etc. then why in a couple years would his priorities change?

I certainly don’t want MM to fail he’s a great kid and represented Iowa state well but I also don’t think he will fit in as well at Kentucky as he did here, Kentucky is loaded with 5 star talent that are there to be NBA ready. He would have been the guy here, he will not be the best player at Kentucky next year. With that said, gonna make $5+ million as long as he invests somewhat well he’s set for life at 22

5 million base, a 4% draw down is $200,000. Way better than a lot of folk do. I could be quite comfortable with that personally.
