That reads to me like he's gonna try equally as hard as before to get drafted but if it comes down to it, he's been offered a crazy amount from someone that ISU can't come close to matching and he'll transfer if he has to. Good for him and glad he chose to be a Cyclone out of high school to be able to be in this position.

On to the next….

If he ends up transferring, I assume it may be as much about an offense that highlights how his skills transfer to the NBA, as much or more so than the NIL offer. I was never convinced that ISU was the best team to highlight his offensive skills

Yeah right. He only turned in one of the most prolific shooting performances over an entire season in NCAA history. If only our offense had focused on him a little.

Entering the transfer portal gives him opportunities, but doesn’t take any opportunities away. For instance, entering the transfer portal allows him to take a big paycheck from another school, but theoretically, he could still come back to Iowa State.

What would happen if he didn't enter the portal and ended up not getting an NBA shot? Would he be stuck with us at whatever price we offer? Would he have any other options? Seems like this is what he HAS to do more than much of a choice.

If he doesn't return to college, Milan will be in the G league at the very least.
