For some reason Tom Brady decided to get all bent about Scott Scheiffler(?) Comments about he'd rather be a good dad than golfer.

Different strokes for different folks he could have just ignored it, not like Scott went after him with those comments. I'm guessing Tom was missing the lime light and needed a little attention.

Both made a lot of money for playing a game. Neither one cured cancer or anything really important. Well end of my rant.

I guess I don't know context. Was it directed at Tom or did he just take it that way? If Scott was just speaking about his own priorities unrelated to Tom then Tom is soft and needs a blankie.
LOL, it was just Scottie's view on life 2 tourneys ago maybe. Tom's comments make him look petty IMO.

From what I saw it wasn’t directed at him.

I understand why Tom would want to believe that being an insane workaholic was being a good dad. He may have been a good dad in other ways, I don’t know, but the comments I saw weren’t great.

Was this on some sports talk show? I never take anything anyone says on those shows seriously anymore. It's all engagement rage baiting. Nothing matters.

Looks like in a newsletter. I didn’t read the newsletter because I’m not giving him clicks, but I saw it on CBS sports. I think in this case it probably does more reflect his beliefs. Especially because to me it came across less as stirring the pot and more being defensive about choices you’ve made

He kissed his son on the lips frequently in public. I'll let you do what you want with that information.

Hate to break it to Tom and all the other guys that think like him and try to rationalize their choices. people that obsess over their careers are half-assing their parenting.

Tom’s impressive in his focus and ability to be driven. But he’s always been very selfish.and no, teaching your kids to be driven and focused isn’t the most important job of a parent. The most important job a parent has is to show their kid love and attention.

Brady is a weird dude really. Pretty much just seems like him trying to make it sound like he was a good family man AND a dedicated to being the greatest quarterback of all time. Reality is Tom is in no position to tell anyone how to manage their family life. He walked out on his pregnant girlfriend early in his career to start dating a super model, married that super model and got divorced years later because he prioritized continuing to play over his family life.

For anyone who hasn't seen the context: Scottie said during a media interview before The Open Championship that he doesn't feel fulfillment from winning golf tournaments.

His comments have sparked a bunch of discourse around the idea of whether top level athletes just want it more. Tom's comments are part of that.
