I"m pretty skeptical of things like this, but honestly the trailer alone dissuaded some of that. Mel Brooks is a genius.
My only concern is I haven't seen any Star Wars since that weird rubber thing with the speech impediment, so I might not fully appreciate this..

My only claim to fame...My good friend is Mel Brooks' manager. Basically, he spends most of his days (and nights) hanging out with Mel. Mel keeps really weird hours.
Not a fan of remakes. There is pretty much zero chance the Planes, Trains and Automobiles being better than the original. Sometimes it's good leaving well enough alone.
I'm chuckling how it says "now 98-year-old Mel Brooks."
It's like saying "the previously younger-than-98 Mel Brooks."
Yes, but stuff like this just makes me sad. I've done the math with a sliderule.
Some of his stuff is epic.
"We ain't found $h!T" is one of my favorite lines from the movie.
I just barely understood why it's extra funny they have the pick when I was a kid and it just got funnier over the years.
Classics seem to get better with age IMO. So many great lines in that movie that seem to get better the more you watch them. Or, I am old and out of touch.
Me too. I was (probably too) young when I got hooked on Spaceballs and watched it a hundred times. Things like Prince Valium, 'What do we have in this thing? A Cuisinart?!' and 'I don't know, somewhere in the Ford Galaxy (Galaxie)' sailed over my head, but became great laughs when I went back and rewatched as an adult.
I know he's still alive because day he passes will destroy me.
