Matt Thomas Playing time

Shut the **** up. Matt is going to come up big in some games this year. Some games he just provides decent minutes. It isn't like he came in and had a bunch of turnovers or defensive breakdowns. He did fine.
I also think Matt's the kind of shooter that can get on a serious tear once he sees a few go down. I think he will be fine. The loss was frustrating, but this team still has a high ceiling and we while we have an uphill battle to win the conference we still have a great chance to make a deep run in March.
Thomas needs like 5-10 shots a game to find his groove. His output right now is spotty because his shots are so few and far between. He's just not going to get enough shots this year with the guys playing in front of him to ever find his groove that way, which is sad because I think he's an unbelievable shooter if he can get going.
I don't like bagging on MT as he is our 8th man. It would be awesome if we could rely on our 8th man more, but he basically is being used to fill minutes for breathers.
Would have been interesting to see if SDW would have been getting some minutes. I would guess no, but when Naz and Matt struggled last year I think he made a few cameos.

I honestly think if you asked Fred what one of his biggest regrets thus far in his coaching career it would be starting Matt right away his freshman year. I just don't think his development has been handled quite right, but he's doing just fine for a sophomore.
