Uh, they're not just a bunch of college kids. They're getting paid money to do their job, coaches and players both
If you could personally direct your boos to a coach or many coaches fine. but you can't. when you boo our million dollar coaches you are also booing the majority of the team that makes little to no money at all. This isn't A&M.

pros, sure. boo away i guess. I still think it is tactless, but you do you.

My biggest thing with Campbell is, what is he actually good at? What was he originally good at? Does he actually have a clue offensively or defensively, or has he strictly built this program around a rah rah, culture and coach speak facade, aided by a good but not great defensive scheme implemented by Heacock?
He brought one of the worst football teams in the history of college football to a big 12 title game and the best bowl win in school history, by far.

In that same time, big bad texas has gone through 4 coaches and zero big bowl appearances.

the grass isn't alway greener.

To immediately argue against my last post, if one assumes the AD will be making a change next year anyway, the only true cost of making that change is the 1-year difference in buyout.
I will say to this day that Rhoads' career was ended b/c he had extremely poor assistants who were not great recruiters (Bill Bleil, Ken Pope, and others come to mind).

It remains to be seen but I'm afraid the kiss of death for Campbell here could be his stubborness on offense. Specifically I think that is - attempting to play 'bully ball' style offense of run and ball control. Primary problem there is that we don't have ANY bullies on the o line.

He somewhat has to adapt and let Nate get creative, otherwise why the hell hire him internally. Nate Scheelhaase ran a great offense as a QB at Illinois so i'd be curious what he would do if he had free reign. He obviously doesn't right now.

If we wind up with 3-4 wins Matt has to hit the transfer portal HARD/juco's. It'll be desperation time.

I stand by what I said. That was his most important game at Iowa State and he made the right decisions: he decided to play to win and not to play to not lose.

Let Rocco Cook.
