I'm so sorry, but I literally busted out laughing when I read the bold part. Don't get me wrong as I'm as optimistic of a person as they come, but I see pretty much ZERO chance of the new Ghostbusters movie being anything but a failure. Shoot, I never say stuff like that either. Therefore, I sure hope the success of Dr. Strange has nothing to do with the train wreck that will be the Ghostbusters movie.

I was just saying I think the audience is going to be much more receptive to a supernatural film like Doctor Strange if they see Ghostbusters. I'm with you and Bos - the Ghostbusters trailers have been absolutely terrible, but people are going to see it because it's Ghostbusters just like people paid to see BvS.

I expected it to be pretty good, but that trailer is much better than I anticipated.
Dr. Strange is one of those things that's virtually impossible to do well. It looks like Marvel doesn't care that it's impossible and will make it work anyway.

You are right, I'm expecting relatively decent box office numbers regardless of how terrible it is. The Ghostbusters name contains a lot of value and has a special place in many people's hearts. I'm one of them. However, I do think the whole female Ghostbuster thing (right or wrong) will scare some of their box office numbers away off the bat where the only way you get them back is by the rare chance that it turns out to be good.

I am excited for Doctor Strange. And Cumberland Bandersnatch is a great actor as well. Should be great!

Looks good. This is the final Marvel movie before Infinity War right?

This is phase 3

I just realized they haven't updated this to refelct the announced Ant-Man sequel "Ant-Man and The Wasp"

Or the new Spider-Man solo movie titled Spider-Man: Homecoming. There has also been news that Inhumans likely won't come on that announced date, but probably at a later date.

I have not seen Serenity, but I've got to say I'm skeptical. I personally do agree with the best space epic since Star Wars. As for Deadpool, while it is Marvel, it is not part of the MCU, so the OP's comment is correct.

I'm not a marvel guy, in fact I think MCU is overrated. That said I loved Guardians of the Galaxy. It's a science fiction flick that stands on its own. You should really watch Serenity though. They're in the same ballpark. Both excellent science fiction films. They're close enough in quality that I think only bias separates them.

Captain America: Civil War is already killing it out of the gates with critics and has a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score for the time being:

Granted, there are only 15 critic reviews in so far for it and that score will likely only go down some over time. However, I'd be surprised if it fell anywhere below 90% when all is said and done. For me, I'm sold that I'll like it. No question about it. With that said, my only question I have left is whether it will surpass Captain America: The Winter Soldier as my all-time favorite MCU movie. We'll see on that one.

I'm afraid my expectations are going to be too high for this one. It'll be hard to top CAWS. Which I feel has been the best in the Marvel Series as well.

I can't link the article at work, there was a report on IGN that Captain America: Civil War is projected to take in $175 million on opening weekend, and some are even saying it could break $200 million. To compare, Batman V Superman has brought in $313 million so far here in the US box office (but over $800 million world-wide).
