I believe Pau was drafted by the Vancouver Grizzlies (well, traded for at the draft).
Not sure if he ever played in Vancouver, they might have moved that summer.

Worst officiated game I've ever seen at any level. I think the FBI (or someone like that) was thinking about going into an investigation of the league after that.
The ABC announcers really really suck. No emotion, just boring to listen to. Let's just be glad that Hubie Brown wasn't talking....he is really boring....when he called a game it is like back in school when a professor at 8 in the morning is so monatone and lame and you really didn't want to be there sort of situation. Give me the good old NBC times with Marv Albert. "Starks on Fire!" "Bird for three.....YES!" "Oh, what a move by Jordan!" (These.)
Also, the music blows too. The John Tesh music for the NBA on NBC is freaking classic. THis new stuff struggles.
Yeah, these guys suck as a group. Quit having old coaches on there.....extra analysis on NBA sucks. Just get someone in there to call the game and have excitement in their voice.
Fourth ring couldn't happen to two classier guys in Kobe and Fisher.
What do you have against Fisher? He's been through some rough stuff with his kid, and as far as I can tell he's about the most modest guy on the team.

I find it funny that everybody complains about the Lakers getting Gasol for "nothing" while I don't think I've ever heard a thing about the shenanigans that went into the Celtics pulling their players in last year. At least the Lakers gave up a former #1 overall draft pick that played well in streaks for the Lakers in Kwame Brown. That isn't exactly nothing.
That still doesn't really defend the fact that they got Gasol for very little. The Celtics also got two great players for little and no one talks about that. You are right on that count. I just don't like seeing this kind of uneven trading that always seems to work in "certain teams' " favor.
Its not like the lakers made Memphis do anything....since they agreed it was obviously something they wanted to do. Now you guys hate teams for doing smart trades? What's next?
As far as Fisher goes....he's a great leader, a winner and somebody who has kept his nose clean. No idea how anybody could be against him. Well anyways, whenever Fish and Kobe are retired from the league the Lakers will have other winning players that people will hate and the cycle will continue. :yes:

What I don't like about it, if I remember correctly, is that Memphis seemed to leave more on the table with other teams to make a trade with the Lakers to get less.
Also, I think the announcers were fairly entertaining....mark jackson can get repetitive at times. I think van gundy is surprisingly hilarious though! he pulls comments out of his *** that i never saw coming. cracks me up
I'm sure Van Gundy is enjoying TV more than coaching. He is having a lot more fun it seems. Not a bad playoffs this year.

Quick name 5 guys in the league classier than Derek Fisher. I will wait a long time because you can't. He will have a long career as a NBA analyst b/c he is a very good speaker and is very humble.
