Luke Combs at JTS

So was traffic leaving worse than football this year?

Wife saw some FB posts of people saying it's the worse traffic they had ever seen, but I'm wondering if they were from people that don't go to games regularly.
We hung out in the lot for a while after the game and got to see a fender bender and a guy in a truck screaming at another car. Much more entertaining than sitting in a line in a car.

It wasn't too bad after waiting a while, but we also took the side roads which helped

Worst part was the beer guys camped out infront of the restrooms. End up thinking you are in line for restroom to only find out you’re in the beer line. At least once you figured it out you didn’t have to worry about it.
This allowed you to buy your beer and immediately dump it in a urinal. You know, skip the middle man.

They had that
That’s good to hear but if they had more places to buy then how could it have possibly been worse than at George Strait as someone claimed? My guess is the alcohol situation was slightly improved but not noticeably.

Dierks Bentley was incredible. I thought he put on a better show
I enjoyed Luke but agree. Dierks was good with interacting with the crowd - Luke’s songs are amazing but there was very limited crowd involvement. Just him singing 3 straight songs, then letting us know he wrote the next song when he was 24.

Parking was an absolute disaster class. Got scanned in for the lot, was told as we were driving towards the lot that there are probably no available spots but to check with the orange vests up ahead as they were guiding cars to park. Get to the orange vests, there’s three of them pointing in three different directions, clearly panicked and unsure what’s happening. We ask, they say look for spots but they don’t think any are available. Sure enough, there’s not a spot available, but they’re still letting cars in at a crazy rate even though they knew there were no spots.

I’d say that was the only issue I had the whole evening. Very clearly either let people in without passes, vastly oversold the passes, and had zero training/communication with the parking people

Death, taxes, and ****** up parking at JTS.

Maybe once there are more events throughout the year (instead of just 7 home games) whoever is in charge of parking and directing traffic can have people trained on how to do that and develop better traffic plans.

We parked around 545 on riverside , which is usually full for football and got out quicker than any game I have been to.

Dierks was definitely better in my opinion.

The lines for everything were insane. The beer lines on the south end of the sukup were quick and short, but bathrooms, food and merch were a **** show.

It was cool to experience a full house with a ton of out of staters.

The **** the hawks chants while leaving also made me smile.

Is JP a country fan? I guess being in the midwest, this is probably the most popular genre.

Thought Dierks was great. Saw him when he was getting started. Luke Combs was really good. The Oklahoma twister song was great.

Took forever to get out of parking lot. We were in the back corner of a grass lot. Probably sat an hour. Got to Algona at 2:45 AM. Well worth it.

It took me about 10 minutes from when I got to my car to get onto highway 30. It took my in-laws atleast 40 minutes to get onto university ave. They parked in the ADA lots.

Wasn’t bad. Got out fairly quick I thought.

It’s what sells. JP doesn’t pick the shows, the show producers decide where they want to go after knowing what their options are and what the costs will be.
