Nice rationalization. He was a starter, our 3rd leading scorer, and one of our best 5 players, so obviously Cyclone fans do care when we lose a starter and our 3rd leading scorer. His loss does hurt our team for the remainder of this season. Beyond this season, probably not since he was likely not coming back next year anyway.

Obviously, when someone leaves as he did in the middle of the season it is a by-product of being unhappy in their current situation or believing they will be happier in another situation. Events do not simply happen in a vacuum as some seem to believe.

Whether he did not like the American style of basketball, missed his homeland and just plain wanted to go home, needed the money, had issues with his coaches and/or teammates, we will probably never know exactly. Most likely it was a combination of different factors. The end result is the same either way.
