Louisville Announcement

I think the important question is...

How much of this money goes to student athletes in the form of $100 bills? It is very hard to be a student athlete and the university is obviously abusing them with this contract. Universities are non profit ffs! Now that student athletes get unlimited food the obvious next step is for them to get $10,000 a year in cash because they don't have the opportunity to have a job during off season... well... they do but really why should they work?

ISU was an Adidas school when I was in college. Trust me, it's better this way.

lolololol.
Idk what's so funny really. It's not likely in any scenario, but to have a north/south like we used to provided a much better chance than running through the gauntlet of playing every team in your league.

I don't. 10 teams is perfect. Iowa doesn't play Michigan OR Ohio State this year.

Yeah, it sure would suck to look at our football schedule this year and not have to pencil in Ls for OU and UT.

..... That said, I'm fine with where we are. I love the balanced hoops schedule we have now, and we are clearly a basketball school.

Adidas pays so much more and flood our athletes with more apparel than they can handle.

Working in the Adidas school really made me realize how much more "customer" service they provide compare to other brands. When KU was Nike school, Nike only provided very limited amount of apparel to some specific sports teams. When Adidas came in, they just completely took it over and covered with EVERYONE that associates with Athletics and others. Adidas also assigns reps to work @ the school they are partnering with (he/she works in the athletics).

Yes, they make some butt ugly uniforms, but they know how to "take care" of athletes.

Technically it wasn't. ISU MBB had license deal with Adidas, not entire athletics. Women's bball had license deal with Nike.

I know Nike doesn't take care of us, but we have enough things going against us.

All of that may be fine and dandy but Nike clothes are much more appealing to buy than Adidas.

I thought Adidas went the way of LA Gear and Kangaroos. It's a soccer company who's not doing a good job with the NBA sleeves or the highly questionable football gear. Hard to make Notre Dame look ugly, but they got that done.

Strangely I think I only have one Nike shirt.
