Looking Ahead to ASU/Mizzou

Outside of the duals listed on the official team schedule each season I never quite understand all these extra matches/meets that occur throughout the season. On occasion there are meets that aren't actual team events, but a handful of our wrestlers will travel to wrestle some individual matches.

So what are "extra matches" today? Do they count against team records? Do they factor into individual rankings, or are they just exhibition matches like JV kinds of things?

And as for UNI being in the house today, is it common to host a conference opponent but not actually wrestle them?

It is because there are no open tournaments for the backups to compete in. This is the only way to get them matches

I think they probably count on individual records, since this is a free year of eligibility

Close match. Terukina made a mistake on bottom on the edge that cost him the match. I see the potential there, but honestly surprised if he’s better than Mackall right now.

Damn it. Good fight in both of those. But the next step is gonna be to beat those guys.

Parker starts as bad as possible down 6-1. He’s really going to have to work down 6-4 going into the 3rd.

Small beat Hart handily a couple years back at Cyclone Open.

Parker is just not made for big comebacks. He Can’t win going down 6-1.
