Hey everyone! Tomorrow at noon I will be co-hosting a live streamed flight. Our intention is to target this at kids who are stuck at home but obviously I think everyone should tune in! We are doing this in replace of our normal Young Eagles flights (free flights for kids ages 8-17). The link is below please share as you wish!

Wanted to say props @wxman1 for being part of the Young Eagles program. The girl I dated in High School participated in this and many other aviation programs like this in Des Moines and now she is a commercial pilot.

Thanks! It is one of our more active programs, we flew 280 or so kids last year. We also now offer scholarships to EAAs summer camps and a flight training scholarship.

Very cool, I wonder what percentage of commercial pilots are female. Seems like a huge rarity.

Very few but it is a slowly growing percentage. There are a couple of organizations in aviation specifically the 99s and Women in Aviation International. One day at Airventure is themed "Womenventure day" when they spotlight them and what not. Last year they flew in a UPS 747 and a United 787 with all female crews for it.
