bison fans, you should get a small victory if you lose by less 21 points, trust me you stand no chance you went 6-5 last year against teams that would get slaughtered each week in the big 12, we compete against the best of the best week in week out, some little crap school that nobody has ever even heard of is going to come into ames and win this game, bison fans get real...have fun but leave our university right after the game trust me itll be a long drive back to that no mans land you call north dakota, SDSU fans were cool, but NDSU fans are annoying and stupid
More Notes from NDSU scrimmage on saturday.
Pat Paschall looks like he's becoming a really tough runner. He's always been a slasher, but he fought for some extra yards Saturday and seems very comfortable with contact which I did not always see in previous years.
Nick Mertens had a very strong start to the scrimmage, which had to be encouraging to the coaches. He hit Gary Williams with a nice touch pass on a deep ball, but then on a 2 point conversion found the tight end in traffic in the middle of the field. Please read again the last 8 words of the previous sentence.
Dante Perez had one bad pass, an interception at about the 10 yard line, and while that was a bad play, no doubt, he's also shown a nice ability to put the ball in tight windows for completions. He seems pretty accurate in the few occasions I've seen him. Compared to Mertens and Jensen, he looks really small, but is pretty elusive in the pocket.
Jensen got some work late in the scrimmage and did some nice things. QB's were fair game for contact in this scrimmage which was interesting, and Jensen tucked it in and ran for a nice first down. He's no Bolt, but appears to move very well. Completed his only pass if memory serves.
Offensive line looks to be coming along. Jeff mentioned Ojuri and Segers, and they did some nice things, but it looked to me that they had some good holes to run through. Mike Fairbairn told us earlier in camp that the interior 3 guys, Foster, Buckman, and Richard are the best 3 interior guys he's worked against since he's been at NDSU.
Pretty basic offensive stuff. There's been some rumbling about QB's running more, etc. but we didn't see any of that.
Defense appeared to have a pretty disappointing day, coaches not happy with the big plays. Tackling looked to be pretty sound, though.
And just a comment here...I don't see any way that Mertens doesn't start at Iowa State...very familiar with the offense and Bohl is going to want as few distractions as possible going into that one...Doesn't hurt that he showed well on Saturday, either

Now you clown fans are starting to sound more like the goofer fans......neither of you have much to gloat about since you are usually the little school in a big - whatever conference. So you should know about being the little guy very well. That said, will be fun to post on this board after the clowns eek out a victory or get beat by the lowly Bison.
Ahh, a loser squawk fan in disguise. Reminds me of the idiots from Ankeny that drove to KC in 2002 and dressed up in Florida State gear just to cheer against ISU. You need to get a life. Real NDSU fans should be embarrased but it's typical.

Not being a Div 2 powerhouse?
Not going 6-5 in the FCS and touting a few wins against FBS teams as our crowning glory?
Reasons Iowa State might have something to gloat about this season:
A) Not getting beat badly by the Hawkeyes
B) Finishing 10th or 11th in the Big 12.
C) Not getting beat by NDSU
D) Finishing better than 3 wins - 9 losses
