Lazard vs Hall

Lazard, Montgomery and Nwangwu all had multiple TDs last year.
Obviously it's not like Lazard and Breece, but in addition to the return game Kene has been outstanding in punt coverage this year. It does seem like the previous staff liked getting Kene more active in the offense, but I think he'll get some opportunities. He's always been an awesome guy that will do what the team needs.

Best thing about his TD run was he was supposed to pitch it to Garrett Wilson and Wilson was going to throw. Breece didn’t think he could get the pitch off so instead of pulling a normal Jets play and forcing it, he just turned it upfield for a TD. The dude is just a playmaker. Jets got a steal in the draft.

Their pulling lineman was in the blocking lane because the packers had sent a corner blitz (maybe just following the receiver?). In any case, the pitch was most definitely NOT there and pulling and running was the right choice regardless of result.

Exactly and how many guys would just follow the play? Breece is special (obviously we all know that). Still can’t believe he slipped to the second round. Imagine if the Bills or Chiefs would have drafted him instead of the Jets.

Prior to Lazard and Montgomery, I'm not sure we've ever had two players score in the same season before.

Did a quick look over coffee (bored this Monday AM) and first guys I thought of, outside of the past few years, were Luther Blue and Ike Harris scoring WR touchdowns back in the 1970's. Looked a little more and 1979 was a trio with the two receivers and RB Mike Strahan with TD's. Being an elder I do like to look back and remember (and prove) how good the talent on those Cyclone teams really was. :D

Seneca Wallace and Sage Rosenfels had TD's (2005-2008).

A. J. Klein/Lazard/Montgomery all scored TD's in 2019 and we have the Lazard/Hall/Montgomery trio this year. Brock maybe has a shot at making it a quad if he gets some PT.

As a bonus stat, Montgomery and Lazard have scored in the same Packers/Bears game.

LOL. You can tell by their expression which team won the game.
I think it's more like Lazard not being happy about a drama queen QB throwing to him 5 or 6 times a game.

Breece on Rich Eisen's show today: EDIT: this was from BEFORE the Packers game.

The media narrative continues to be that the Packers have receiver issues without also attributing Rodgers fixating on players instead of scanning the field. He did it with Adams last season and now does with Cobb.

Good that he's staying healthy enough to stick with it and at the best time for himself financially.

One of those huge 'what if?' type of guys in the ISU program because his career was so erratic from injuries.

The Packers offense is a dumpster fire without him. Would love to see him on the Bears, let him play with Montgomery and not have to deal with Rodgers any more.

I wouldn't wish going to the Bears on my worst enemy. It's bad enough Montgomery is wasting the best years of his career in that terrible organization, we don't need another Cyclone stuck there.

I'm just super happy DM was able to stay healthy enough to get the pension, hopefully get a few more years.

Keith Krefle had a TD in a Super Bowl. I think he may have had a TD in a year with someone else from that era. Amundsen had a few. Not sure if Matt Blair did on a pick or blocked kick. I think Krefle had quite a few TDs

Oooh, good one, Didn't think of Blair, also a 1970's guys.

I am confident in saying Lazard loves his situation and dealing with Rodgers. As a Vikings fan I can’t stand Rodgers or the Pack but it’s an awesome situation for him. That Bears offense is a disaster.
