Lazard Number 1 WR for 2014?

Paul Rhoads said on his call-in show a couple of weeks ago that he had two quarterbacks committed, and both of them would be playing quarterback. So if Hodge is one, who's the other?

Lanning? Rohach will be a starter at some point here. For the love of god he was an Elite 11 finalist.

So were 30 other Quarterbacks, not to mention there were consensus top rated QBS that didn't even go to the camp. Being an elite 11 finalist doesn't mean much anymore.

Bueker to Lazard sounds better then all of the other options.

But seriously, the elite 11 argument isn't going to be valid until/if we see rohach next season. I've heard good things about him and what he does in the film room and on the field. Good leader, great arm, has some speed. But the same things were said about Sam too.
If it turns out that richardson is our guy, or that rohach turns up, then there's obviously no point in having lanning on the sidelines with a headset. Him and knott 2.0 in the backfield could produce some great things.

Anyway, regardless of who is QB, its going to be a lot easier for them having Lazard on the field. I think this kid could be 5 stars by the time summer camp rolls around.

not sure what a finalist is but iowa has had 2 terrible qb's that were actually elite 11 qb's (their punter this year was one too)

point being it means nothing to be a finalist or even an actual elite 11 qb
