No but I don't think cops are above the law either as some do. I said some which is what most have said. Some have simply said there are cops out there who abuse their power. That is true. If you don't think so then fine.

Oh I agree that some abuse their power, I have been subject of one of those before but to lump them all in one pile is completely unfair to the thousands more that are great officers.

I would also add in officers that just aren't happy or don't want to deal with a particular call or situation.

No tears here. You just carry the same refrain I've heard time and time again from convicts in the pen and recently released. Everything I've studied shows this inability to be accountable for one's own actions and chalk it up as "cops out to get me" is merely done to minimize and justify one's criminal activities. The ones who are most likely to be deemed "rehabilitated" and leave the cycle of sub-civilized behavior are those who recognize law enforcement as doing their jobs and get over their intense distrust authority because they won't let you smoke in peace.

Jump to conclusions much. Once again you jump to conclusions and assumptions that are incorrect. Geez, I wonder why. You can talk about convicts all you want. They have no relevance with this specific discusion. No, my distrust in cops come first hand with them lying.

Again you are making this way too complicated. It must really bother you to know that there are fine upstanding citizens who contribute positively to society who -because of how cops treated them - now think that most cops are, for the most part, ****s.

Why is it that there are also several on here who have the general same feelings. Does this just randomly happen? or is there a correlation for these feelings. They certainly don't happen on their own with out a reason.

The cool part is, I exercised my rights as a US citizen in good standing and things ultimately turned out in my favor at the expense of the Iowa taxpayers and said cops got their collective *** kicked in court. It still does not change the fact that they are dicks who lie.
