Sounds like Season 3 is heading to Independence Community College in Kansas instead of staying at EMCC:

I like the idea of switching up schools but they could have went to a better Juco. Independence went 5-4 last year.

Finally finished season 2, I was hoping they would fail because Coach Stephens is an a-hole. That guy is such a thin skinned baby, tried to kick out Chauncey's mom for yelling from the stands, tried to boot his OC to the booth because he "smirked at him". That whole shtick about changing who he was and that come to Jesus ******** was clearly just for show.

just finished season 1. I cannot fathom how stupid some of these kids are. Free college, all they have to do is show up to class and they cant do it. They cant bother themselves to bring a pencil? They have to be reminded daily to bring a notebook? I honestly dont feel bad for any of them. Everything is put in place for them all they have to do is reach out and take it and they cant figure it out. Everything is someone elses fault. Kids need to quit football and join the military or something.

AY!!! LISTEN TO ME!! LISTEN TO ME!!

This show tries way too hard to make drama!

YOU UNDERSTAND ME!

At this point I think they are thinking more about story lines and personalities than football after seeing how well Buddy Stephens played to audiences.

They don't care about school, they just want to play football.

You think this is just limited to JuCo? These are former/future D1 kids. It's probably like this basically everywhere.

You literally wrote exactly what I was thinking.

Also too bad that Ms. Brittany won't be on anymore.

The link says they chose Independence because they also have a reputation of giving D1 misfits a second chance. Must not be as talented D1 misfits as they have no where near the success of EMCC.

I think the difference lies in the fact that the guys at D-1 schools are still there. I'm sure they don't want to go to school and I'm sure that there are guys at ISU who require massive amounts of maintenance but I think a lot of them have the intangible qualities to get through and work hard enough in both school and football to get to a higher level. Guys like Tim Bonner don't get it.

It's that simple huh? It's not as easy or as simplistic as you are making it out to be. These kids grow up with a ton of baggage. At the end of the day, you are right, they alone have the power to change. But they have never been provided the tools on how to make that change. It's not about a pencil or a notebook. It goes much deeper than that.

Wasn't it Cardelle Jones formerly of the Ohio state that tweeted something like, 'why should we have to go to classes, we came here to play football, we ain't come here to play school, classes are pointless'

That's what this show reminded me of.

I also was cheering against them, but Chauncey's mom deserved to be thrown out. That's some little league ********, and she was a distraction.

Whoever said this stuff goes much deeper than being "too dumb to bring a pencil" is dead on. Many of these kids grew up in environments that you couldn't believe. They are emotionally and developmentally stunted from very early ages. They were deprived of many of the things we take for granted growing up. It's difficult to get a young person out of that cycle at that age. Many of you on this board would piss your pants the moment you stepped into their lives.
