I honestly wouldn't mind having him as a recruiter. He seems to be able to do that well.

No way we get him. But... the man is one of the best recruiters in the business and while he was totally incompetent as a head coach he was actually pretty good as a position coach, he just got promoted above his competence level. I'd take him in a heartbeat, baggage and all.

I went to high school with a girl that moved out to LA after college and actually became the Kiffin's nanny. She worked for them for 2 years and was going to move back to Iowa when they asked her to stay and bumped up her pay. As far as his "baggage", she says that for as busy as he is with football, he is an incredibly dedicated father and husband. Sure, he Chizzed Tennessee for USC, but who wouldn't? Coach a mediocre SEC team that will never compete with the likes of Alabama as long as Saban is there, or head out to USC where you can coach a team regularly at the top of the conference and pulls in talent purely because they are USC...oh yeah, and more money. It's a no brainer. The dude is a relentless recruiter/film watcher. I'm sure he would make an excellent OC. That being said, there is no chance in hell he ends up at ISU.
