Kyle Busch Dies at 41

This needs its own thread. I wasn’t even paying attention enough to know he was even sick. I literally just saw it on tv at a restaurant and actually said WTF.

I saw the news earlier today he wasn’t going to race this weekend due to illness, but never gave it second thought. Prayers to his family

Had the same reaction, saw he was in the hospital this morning but I just assumed it was a thing where they were trying to quickly get him over a bad case of the flu or something so he could get back ASAP.

Never was a fan but he was a good villain when he was young, and had gotten more likeable as he aged. It'll be weird not seeing him out there.

Just super sad on all accounts... He was a hell of a villain.

I can't imagine what his Kids and wife are going through.

I saw a clip at the end of the race last week of him asking for a doctor at the end of the race...

I hope Jr. takes Brexton under his wing, too. Losing a father that young... man that's just awful.

Im married to someone who tragically lost both parents at a young age. The impact is real and even the tiniest of things are forever out there. He had a daughter, and she'll never have her daddy walk her down the aisle.
That stuff is an emotional roller-coaster.

I did not like him at all back in the day but he also was a reason I tuned in because he was damn good. Regardless of how I felt, this sucks and especially that I'm 41, hits home. RIP.

I saw something that said that he had a pretty bad sinus cold at Watkins Glen, and it was worsened during the race because of the high elevation and G forces.

Makes you wonder if he had some terminal illness and decided to spend his last days where he was happiest- behind the wheel

I would think he would have had to pass medical tests to race and I'm sure that would have probably showed up at that point..

pneumonia can sneak up and be deadly, maybe? Just so weird.
