Pretty sure the Big 12 bylaws have a "must fire your football coach if you lose to Iowa State at home" clause in them somewhere. Or at least they used to have one.

If I’m a young coach, not sure I risk ending my career at that graveyard.

I suppose the same could have been said about us in years past. But at least we’ve always had fan support.

$2 million can go a long ways to a 35 year old. Someone like Seth Littrell at North Texas is where they should look. Personally, I hope they hired Timmy from South Park

Good luck to whoever takes that spot. They graduate the vast majority of talent they do have, they literally don't have a 2019 recruiting class, fan support is non existent and the work it will take to overcome the overall perception of the program will be monumental.

Unless you're an aging coach looking for one last pay check I cannot think of a single reason why you would take that spot if you have any other possible options.

I know it's a different sport but it'd be kinda funny to see a bunch of students at the basketball game in Hilton print out a long sign with all of the KU football coaches who have been fired over the last few years and just put the caption:

"Back to back to back to back to back..."

What an idiotic move by KU. Program is finally getting some traction and success from continuity and then they go back to square one. Didn't KU have a really good recruiting class coming in next year? And they have more wins this year than like 2 or 3 of the last years combined. Now they will lose it all again, not to mention a lot of money.

The KU administration just assured that they would be the laughing stock of the Big 12 for another 5+ years.

With all the Adidas trials going on and the possibility of KU basketball being brought down, why would you create more unrest in your football program?

More I think about it, the more I believe the best course of action would be to hire an older coach with some cache behind their name.

Go into it with the full understanding that this is a 4 - 5 year run at most, have him build a base for the program and mentor what you would hope would be young coordinators with high potential to eventually move into the head spot once he finishes up. If you could snag a Les Miles and put a succession plan in place right off the bat it could work as long as they stay patient.

Did you watch the game? They are atrocious!!!!!

I don't know of many atrocious teams that can run for 119 yds against our defense - in one half.

They were 2 wide open dropped passes away from things being a bit interesting in the 4th Qtr.

Last week was not a fluke for them, they are better than TCU.

There have been recent coaches at KU that put a lot worse product on the field.

They would be position 10 in the B1G - okay, that doesn't really help my case.

They have one low 3 star prospect committed for next year. That's the entire current class.
