Great time at Knoxville. Loved the format. Sat next to some nice guys from Oklahoma (OU fans) who drove up for the races. They really knew their stuff, so that made it even more fun.
@isufbcurt knows his racing. The three he mentioned finished in the Top 4.
1. David Gravel
2. Kyle Larson
3. #49
4. Rico Abreu
David Gravel just ran away with it for most of the race. Kyle Larson almost got a pass in traffic on the last lap, but Gravel fought him off and kept the lead.
Is Larson a bully? Or just a racer at another level who takes more chances than other drivers?
Larson took out one of the Top 5 cars early in the race when he slid from inside out right in front of us in the middle of the Frontstretch Grandstand. Maybe something made him make that radical move, but the crowd booed Larson when they showed the replay.
Midway through the race, Larson ran up on the tires of Rico and looked like he nearly knocked him out too.
I understand that it is a rough sport, but Larson seemed to go too far. I'd love to hear what the other drivers thought of his performance. Larson didn't offer any acknowledgment in his post-race interview about knocking another top competitor out with a wild move.
