Wtf why would anyone want to go to Mississippi state over Iowa state? When the last time they made the tournament? I swear the word commitment means nothing to some of these recruits.

My hope is that this is a reaction to either Lard actually making it on campus or that a commitment from Isaiah Stokes is imminent.
He was a big get. Huge piece of next year's class.
But MSU hasn't made the tourney since 2009 and averages 6,200 per home game. Something weird going on.

Sucks to miss out on Faezell, but he's a 3-star Mississippi kid who flipped to his instate school after news came out Lard will most likely be part of the 2017 class. A 17 year old changed his mind and made the best decision for himself and his future. I love the Cyclones (and they have a lot to offer with their basketball program) but Ames, IA and the university here isn't at the center of the college basketball universe.
I think Solomon Young will be very good for us next year. This isn't such an awful thing. We have a lot to replace again next year and this would potentially allow for a grad transfer that can contribute immediately.
