I don't have exact details on this man. Just hearing they possibly didn't travel with the team. I am not even sure how true it is. Just passing on what I heard. I did put a question mark basically asking if anyone can confirm or deny the rumors.
I’m surprised Hines hasn’t tweeted this out if true. He usually gets out negative stuff about Cyclones as soon as he can.

Logically it would make sense that if they indeed were very sick. the team requested them to stay home. Otherwise, they will be on an airplane with circulated air for a few hours spreading the flu to everyone else

So it wouldn't shock me if they indeed didn't make the plane trip if they are indeed sick
obviously...but also it truly shouldn't take that long for literally anyone (friends of players etc that are surely on here) to say whether they made the trip or not.

To me if we were at full strength 7.5 seems high. But Torvik has it at 10. So maybe not that far fetched?

Very true. But the same was kind of true with Milan's injury. It wasn't officially reported for quite some time even though there were plenty of rumors circulating.

Agree but them not being on a plane and still in Ames...people will notice quickly. Also, media read this site so you can bet all beat writers are asking around. Furthermore, some media that make the trips for away games are just gonna not see when two starters aren't on the trip and not say anything? Not likely.

this x 100. Media travel with the team right? They used to so if they were on the same plane this would be already out.

Part of me thinks...ok let injury and illness make us a 1 seed in 4/5 seed clothes and trash the whole thing.

Then I think, even at full strength this is the #1 or #2 degree of difficulty game to win in the entire game of college basketball this year so better this game than one of the others where we'd have a 95% chance of winning at full strength.
Why would any part of you want ISU to have a less successful season and be a higher seed instead of having a more successful season and being a lower seed?

They do not. Only media that do is the radio crew.

They used to Travel with the football team. Not sure if they do anymore. It was easier and there were always spots on the team plane. I don't think they fly with the basketball team because the basketball team goes commercial.

Basketball travels via charter, similar to football.
