Is it me or does it seem like Kerry Meier has been at Kansas forever...this is the same guy who used to be at QB before Reesing, right?
Easier said than done. The guy just has a knack for getting open as well as making a play on the ball when it's in the air. You also can't just focus on Meier because Briscoe is every bit as big of a threat. Both receivers will get their share in spite of the best efforts to "shadow" them. The best approach is to get after Reesing, put some hits on him, and hope that you can force some off-target throws. Not an easy task, but the best way to control good receivers is to make it difficult for the QB to get the ball to them.
The only way to put hits on the Keebler Elf is to have disciplined and agile D ends that can contain the scramble............(crickets). uh oh.
From a defensive standpoint, we have to hope Toddy has an off game like he did against us in the first half last year, otherwise it will be a track meet for Briscoe and Meier.
Unfortunately, we just don't have the athletes on D to slow the KU offense. We have a formidable run stopping Dline, but as far as pass-rush and putting pressure on the QB, we are severely lacking. This is where KU will shell us.

QB Greggory is basically sacked by Lyle and an interior Dlineman, he spins to the outside causing a whiff, has time to scan the deep field and finds the opposite field WR streaking down the the middle on a post route.

Reesing's a true senior, Meier a redshirt senior. Meier was QB for half the season in 2006 (his RS Freshman year, he was HS class of 2005) before getting hurt. Reesing took over at halftime of the CU game in 2006 (his true freshman year, he was HS class of 2006), and never let go of the starting spot. Unfortunately for KU fans (like myself), they'll be gone after this year. Like all fans, we feel like we have some talent to step in, but those are hard guys to replace.
