Does Reid get the recognition and respect he deserves?

I don’t necessarily think he does. Is it his religion? His weight?
People who know FB respect him. Between the Eagles and Chiefs he's been really successful. IMO.

For sure. The award lately seems to go to a new to a team coach that has exceeded expectations in year 1 or 2 (even though they often crash in year 3), some established coach that has overcome a bad start to make the playoffs, or a coach of a team that has far exceed expectations. So the top 3 candidates right now are probably Dan Quinn (new coach/rookie QB on the verge of the playoffs), Sean McVay (started 1-4, may win the division), and Kevin O'Connell (preseason win projection was 7.5 wins, currently 13-2 with a shot at the #1 seed).

It's really hard for a good coach with high expectations to win the award. Even Bill B. only won it 3 times, the last coming in 2010. One those he literally had to not lose a game in the regular season. KC may go 16-1, has dealt with critical injuries, has gotten poor O-line play at times, won games on 6 different days of the week, and has the whole league gunning for them all with the constant barrage of 3-peat hype and Andy may not even sniff the award because ho-hum you have Patrick Mahomes.

Meh, not much you can take away from that, but I am a little concerned with Butker. He doesn't seem the same since he's been back.

Seems like the year where he twisted his knee on bad turf and never played his best.

Quick little shoutout for Brett Veach knowing when to move off of players.
The Tyreek Hill one was obvious, but another is L'Jarius Sneed.

Sneed played five games this year. Was he ever really healthy in KC?

In the trade we received 2024 pick 221, which was used in the trade up for Xavier Worthy, and the Titans 2025 3rd, which is pick 66 because the Titans stink.

And KC didn't pay Sneed $76.4M over four years.

Has been a lot of chatter around the “jinx” of undefeated home seasons producing playoff losses?

Just heard my boss mention it yesterday. Can’t see KC losing to Houston, particularly in these elements.

Stroud has looked…very pedestrian.

Any Chiefs fans feel like media is going overboard to generate controversy or a feeling that Chiefs get a ton of calls? Made sense when it was opposing fans but felt like Buck and Aikman went too far discussing the personal fouls against Mahomes yesterday then SVP and Ryan Clark immediately discussed them in aftermath. I didn't see either call as being anything out of ordinary for what is typically called in the NFL for past 15 years even when you slow them down. You can find so many examples of worse roughing calls.

Not a Chiefs fan, but over-analyzing aspects of a dynasty is standard.

Anything involving Mahomes and Chiefs is going to be a top topic

Agreed. I'm not a Chiefs fan either, but it shouldn't be a surprise that there are a significant number of negative media attention and fans of other teams going out of their way to punch holes in the hull. A threepeat is unprecedented in the Super bowl era. For a good number of people, that alone is enough reason for them to root against KC.
If you're a Chiefs fan, warm your heart on the heat of their anger for as long as you can. Let every complaint, every whine, every back handed compliment be the seasoning on the giant bowl of popcorn, that the current Chiefs dynasty has been for you.
I won't last forever, and when it ends, plenty of folks will be there to dance on your grave, so definitely enjoy it while it lasts.

What did you think of 2 calls In question?
I think it’s true they were bad calls

And that’s standard for the home team, top seed, generational QB to get them.

What’s unique is how the Chiefs win nearly every time. Like the Pat dynasty, these “breaks” seem bigger because the Chiefs always win. They always capitalize
