NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

It was a win, but damn, are we ever going to stop the drop passes? The Chiefs will not do it, but they would be better off to cut Toney tomorrow, use that as a point to the rest of the WR's that if you are not producing, and continue to do silly things, you are not going to be doing it here for the Chiefs.
Yeah, you can’t play him anymore. He is doing nothing but negative things.

TE was not an area of need to use a 1st rounder on when you have one of the best TE of all time in Kelce. Gray and Fortson are adequate backups as well. Kelce is 34 so will eventually he will start to slow down but TE was not a position of weakness going into the draft.
Can you imagine running 13 personnel with Kelce, Gray, and LaPorta, with Rice now at receiver?

My word.

Think bigger.

And you would have your Kelce replacement because who knows when he will be done. I think we only see him one more year after this. I was hoping they would draft him as well because in terms of style of play I think he is close to Kelce and Lions use him in similar ways lining him up all over the field.

Gotta think Mahomes is just done with throwing to Toney at this point so they might as well just bench him. He sure looked pretty frustrated after that last pick bounced right off Toney's hands once again and Toney was sitting all by himself on the bench while Mahomes was on another just venting. It's been a problem for him all season and luckily this one didn't cause them to lose the game like some of his other mistakes have but can't see how this late in the season anyone on the Chiefs can justify throwing him the ball in key situations anymore. Rice needs to be the focus now and it's sad how a rookie has looked so much better than any WR on the team this year.

Caught a bit of 810 out of KC at lunch and it sounded like Mahomes had literally pep talked KT right as they were going out for that drive to lock and in finish the game. Mahomes was filmed saying something like "That's what we just f'ing talked about." when he got back to the bench. He's ticked at KT for sure.

He and Sky Moore both. And MVS is only a step from it too.
Moore is starting to look like a huge bust at this point. Fortunately the Chiefs hit on most of their other draft picks in 2022 as well as 2021 that has Bolton, Humphrey, Gray, and Trey Smith and 2023 is TBD as Rice is the only one in that class so far playing meaningful snaps this season. Hard to get an impact WR picking near the bottom of the 1st round so either need to trade up to get one or go out and either trade for or signing a proven WR1. We got lucky last season that Ju-Ju was as good as he was that covered up the problem a bit but none of the carryovers have stepped up to be a consistent target for Mahomes this year. Rice has gradually become that guy as the season has carried on but I think the hope was that at least 1 of Toney and Moore would take a big step forward and become the main guy this year and they both seem to be even worse than last year, especially with the drops and dumb mistakes they have made.

Rice is a legit #2. The rest are basically scout teamers as far as I'm concerned. KC has 34 dropped passes leading the league, and is tied for the league lead in offensive holding calls with 19. Who would have thought Ju Ju and Orlando Brown would make that big of a difference?

Sometimes things just have a way of working themselves out. I not ready to give up on Skyy yet, but they really need someone else to step up this season and he hasn't been getting it done.

4 minutes left in the 1st quarter and -13 yards of total offense. Matt ******* Nagy is not qualified to coach pop Warner. Worthless OC

This offense has to be blown up during the offseason. Similar to the 2020 OLine or the 2022 DB’s.
